Sarah Jessica Parker put on a little red carpet performance of her own as she gave a twirl in her stunning nude dress at the New York City Ballet 2010 fall gala last night.
The Sex And The City actress was the belle of the ball in her flowing gown as she attended the Manhattan event in her newly elected role as a member of the board of directors for the company.
Sarah, 45, arrived to a cocktail reception as the ballet school hosted a special evening at the David H. Koch Theater in the Lincoln Center.
The highlight of the evening was the New York premiere of a new ballet by NYCB Principal Dancer Benjamin Millepied set to a commissioned score from Pulitzer-Prize winning composer David Lang.
The programme also included George Balanchine's Tarantella and an excerpt from Western Symphony, as well as Jerome Robbins' I'm Old Fashioned.
Tickets for the event started from $1,500, with premium seats costing $5,000.

Earlier in the day Jessica was far from the glamorous starlet as she dressed down for the school run with her seven-year-old son James.
Despite the rainy weather the hands-on mother of three and did her daily walk with James as usual.
And it was refreshing to see the Hollywood star blend in with her fellow New Yorkers, without the aid of a bodyguard or nanny.

Sarah has been spending time with her young family after her recent trip to London Fashion Week.
She commemorated the death of friend Alexander McQueen and attended fashion brand Burberry's catwalk show.
But it seems not everything was quite to her taste in London.

The fashion icon visited British singer Lily Allen’s new vintage clothing boutique Lucy In Disguise, and was apparently underwhelmed.
A source at the store in London’s Covent Garden told newspaper The Daily Star: 'Sarah went round the rails, signing autographs, but she didn’t say anything about the vintage clothes.
'The friend she was with asked her when they got outside what she thought and Sarah allegedly replied: "Very ordinary"'.
The alleged snub may come as something as a blow for the pregnant singer, especially as the discerning Jessica-Parker is a well known collector of vintage clothing.

Since her return to the Big Apple, Sarah has been busy spending time with twins Tabitha and Marion, and preparing their home for Halloween.
She recently festively lined the stairs leading to their home with pumpkins.
The actress has been very open about the challenges of juggling work with raising son James, and her twin daughters.
She has said: 'It's the eternal conflict of every working woman. And I'm not complaining because I've done this to myself.'
